2. WHAT IS A COOKIE?
A cookie is a file containing letters and numbers that is sent by the web server to the user’s device (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.) and stored for a predetermined period. When users visit our website, various reasons may cause cookies to be placed on their devices. A cookie is a small text file that downloads and stores information about the user’s navigation on the website on their computer, mobile device, or other device. The stored data is necessary to track which pages the user visits on the website, save information provided by the user, or remember user preferences.
2.1 Types of cookies
- First-party cookies: These are cookies operated by the company behind the website’s hosting – in this case, the website owner. All cookies placed by ourselves are “first-party cookies.”
- Third-party cookies: These are cookies placed on our hosting by trusted partners we have authorized. These may include social media partners, advertising partners, security providers, and partners necessary for billing.
2.2 Cookies by nature
- Session cookies: These cookies last only until the user closes the browser, i.e., the “session.” They are then deleted.
- Persistent cookies: These have different life cycles and remain on the user’s device even after the browser is closed. We strive to use only such persistent cookies (or allow other providers to use them) that are valid for a limited time. However, for security or other essential reasons, we may permit a cookie to be valid for a longer period.
3. WHAT DO WE USE COOKIES FOR?
We use cookies to ensure the full functionality of the website, customize the user experience, perform analyses, and improve our services. We also use cookies to deliver personalized advertisements on our website, across the internet, and on social media platforms, as well as in our newsletters. Cookies are also important for gaining insights into, for example, how many people clicked on a website link in a social media advertisement, or how many viewed it. This type of information is used to measure and optimize advertisements appearing on social media.
Information collected via cookies includes:
- IP address
- Device identifier
- Visited pages
- Browser type
- Browsing information
- Operating system
- Internet service provider
- Timestamp
- Whether an advertisement was responded to
- Referring URL
- Features or activities used on the website/applications
4. HOW IS A COOKIE CREATED?
First, the user’s device sends a request to our website, i.e., the server. The server then creates a unique identifier, stores it in its database, and sends the created cookie with all the information back to the user. The information cookie is stored on the user’s devices. When the user’s device reconnects to the server, i.e., revisits our website, it attaches the previously created and stored cookie. The server compares the received and stored cookie contents, thereby easily identifying, for example, the registered user or the set language preference.
5. HOW LONG ARE COOKIES STORED?
Cookies are stored for varying periods in the user’s browser or device. Temporary cookies, known as session cookies, are stored on the user’s device until the browser is closed. Persistent cookies have an expiration date and are deleted when the user returns to the website after the date has expired.
6. WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?
We use four categories of cookies: strictly necessary, performance, functional, and marketing cookies. User consent is required only for the last three categories. Strictly necessary cookies do not require user consent as they ensure the full and continuous display of the website’s content so that the user can access the website and have an appropriate digital browsing and online experience.
6.1 List of cookie categories
6.1.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are necessary for maintaining our services and cannot be disabled. They are usually set in response to actions taken by the user. The user can set their browser to block these cookies or alert them, but some parts of the website may not work as a result. These cookies do not store personally identifiable information.
6.1.2 Performance cookies
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources to measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us understand which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All data collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If the user does not allow these cookies, we cannot provide a personalized experience for the user.
6.1.3 Functional cookies
These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our site. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these services may not function properly.
6.1.4 Marketing cookies
By accepting marketing cookies, the user agrees to allow cookies to be placed on their device to provide content tailored to their interests. These cookies are set on our website to create a profile of the user’s interests and to display relevant content on our site. To provide content that matches the user’s interests, we use interactions and personal data provided by the user on our website. The user can choose not to accept marketing cookies, in which case these cookies will not be placed on the user’s device, and they may receive less relevant content from us.
7. ACCEPTANCE OF COOKIES AND WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT
The user can manage their consent to cookies via the “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of the website, where they can accept cookies from all three categories or just one if they wish. By accepting one category of cookies, the user consents to all cookies in that category (a list of cookies can be found above). The user can change their settings at any time in the “Cookie Settings” and reject cookies. If the user does not wish to use cookies on their device, they can manage their cookie preferences by ticking the checkboxes in the list of cookie categories under “Cookie Settings.” Please note that changes/choices may affect the website’s functionality, and personalized offers or advertisements may not be available to the user. In addition to withdrawing consent, the user can easily prevent their browser from accepting cookies by configuring their browser’s cookie settings. Every commercial web browser allows the modification of cookie settings. It is the user’s responsibility to verify these settings, and all necessary information can be found in their web browser.
If the user clicks the “Accept All Cookies” button, they consent to share this information with third parties, such as advertising and billing partners. In certain cases or in the future, this may mean that their data will be processed outside the EU/EEA. If the user selects the “Only Necessary Cookies” option, only cookies in the “strictly necessary” category will be placed on their device. By withdrawing consent, the user can disable cookies that are not necessary for the website’s operation at any time.
8. USER OPTIONS

In browsers such as Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, or Chrome, users can specify which cookies they accept and which they do not. The exact location of the settings depends on the browser:
- Chrome cookie settings
- Firefox cookie settings
- Internet Explorer cookie settings
- Safari cookie settings
If the user decides to block certain functional cookies, they may not be able to use some of our services’ functions.
In addition to the settings offered on our website, the user can disable certain cookies:
